# We have the pieces. Why doesn't anything connect them?

Because nothing ties them to a shared read of each customer's needs. Financial education, community programs, branch conversations, and products each run on their own, with no shared diagnosis, no coordinated next step, and no view of outcomes. Connecting them starts with one measure of financial health, then mapping what you already offer to the needs it shows.

## What do most institutions already have?

- **Customers or members who are likely struggling,** but no way to see which ones.
- **Financial education.** Good content, with reach nobody can measure.
- **Community engagement.** CRA work, volunteering, and giving that aren't tied to the core business.
- **Branch and frontline change.** More consultative, advice-driven staff, often with a needs-assessment guide.
- **Products and services** that would help, if the right person heard about them at the right time.

## What's missing between them?

- **A shared diagnosis.** One way of knowing what each person needs, used by every team.
- **A coordinated next step.** An agreed answer to "given this need, what do we offer?"
- **A view of what happened.** Whether people used what they were offered, and whether it helped them and the business.

Without those, each piece reports its own activity, and no one can say which ones work.

## What connects them?

The four beats of the [FinHealth Workflow™](https://www.finhealthrecord.com/finhealth-workflow/): Diagnosis (what does this person need?), Prescription (what's the right next step?), Uptake (did they use it?), and Outcomes (did it work, for them and for us?). Every piece you already have fits one of the beats. Education and products are prescriptions; branch conversations and digital journeys are where uptake happens. What's usually missing is the diagnosis at the start and the outcome at the end.

## How do we get more from what we already have?

- **Inventory it.** List every product, service, program, content piece, and community referral, across every channel.
- **Map it to needs.** Match each resource to the financial health needs it addresses, and find the needs nothing covers.
- **Deliver it proactively.** Get the right resource to the right person through the right channel, based on their results, instead of waiting for them to ask.

Triage the needs rather than queuing them: paying bills on time comes before saving for retirement. And often the best resource for a need is a local nonprofit that already does it for free.

## Do we need to build something new first?

No. Start by taking stock of what exists across the four beats and finding the weakest link. Getting every piece connected takes years and work across teams, but it doesn't have to happen all at once, and the first step needs no build.

## Who needs to be involved?

The teams that own the pieces: retail and branches, digital, marketing, financial education or community impact, and data. Each holds part of the picture, and none can connect it alone.

## How does Attune help?

Attune brings a framework for prioritizing needs and mapping them to resources, runs the [FinHealth Score®](https://www.finhealthrecord.com/finhealth-score/) as the shared diagnosis, and keeps each person's results over time in the [FinHealth Record™](https://www.finhealthrecord.com/finhealth-record/), connected to what they were offered and what changed. If you'd like an outside read first, Attune runs a short assessment across the four beats that ends in a gap analysis and a sequenced roadmap.
