Decide which actions count before launch, tie every result to an ID you can join to your own data, and send results and next-step clicks back into your systems as they happen. Then compare people who took the assessment with similar people who didn't, and re-check the same people later to see whether their financial health moved.

## Why does tracking usually stop at the click?

Because the assessment often lives on someone else's page. Your analytics see how many people clicked "start", then nothing: not who finished, what result they got, which next step they chose, or whether they came back. The results sit in another system, with no way to join them to your members or users. You can report reach, but not whether the assessment led to anything.

## What should you measure?

- **Completion.** How many people who started finished, and where the rest dropped off.
- **Next-step clicks, by result.** Which steps people chose, split by tier and by the area they need to work on.
- **Actions that matter to the business.** A conversation booked, an advisor connection, a product or service taken up, an enrollment.
- **Return visits.** Repeat logins or sessions after the assessment.
- **Change in financial health.** The same person's result at a re-check, compared with their first.

Pick one of these as the headline metric before launch, so the first results answer a question someone already asked.

## How do you connect results to your own data?

- **Pass an ID in.** A member or user ID for signed-in people; for prospects, an anonymous ID until they agree to be contacted.
- **Get results back.** Into the systems that act on them: your CRM or email platform, your analytics, and wherever staff will look.
- **Match the speed to the use.** If the next screen or message depends on the result, it has to arrive right away. A daily file is enough for staff views and reporting.

## Should you test before building the assessment into your product?

Often, yes. A quick embedded version, with results flowing back from day one, tells you whether people act on their results before you commit engineering time to a native build. Without the data coming back, a test can't show lift, and the native build is decided on guesswork.

## How do you show the assessment made a difference?

Compare people who took it with similar people who didn't, on the metric you chose. If takers book more conversations or take up more services, the assessment is associated with that difference. It isn't proof of cause, because the people who choose to take it may differ in ways you can't see. ## What should people be told?

What happens to their answers, who can see them, and whether you'll follow up. Ask prospects before you contact them, and keep individual results away from anyone who doesn't need them.

## How does Attune help?

Attune provides [FinHealth Score®](https://www.finhealthrecord.com/finhealth-score/) scoring through its software and API, so the assessment can run inside your website, app, or platform. Each person's results are kept over time in the [FinHealth Record™](https://www.finhealthrecord.com/finhealth-record/), connected to what they were offered and what they did.
