The FinHealth Score® is the Financial Health Network's measure of financial health, built from eight survey questions across four pillars: Spend, Save, Borrow, and Plan and Protect. Its definition, methodology and research belong to the Financial Health Network and live on its FinHealth Score page.
The Financial Health Network answers these questions on its FinHealth Score page:
Through Attune. The Financial Health Network's free FinHealth Score Toolkit covers survey-based measurement for research, advocacy, and internal business purposes. Use of the Score in custom software is exclusively available through Attune, which provides FinHealth Score® scoring through its software and API.
The FinHealth Score® is the primary Diagnosis instrument in the FinHealth Workflow™, the assessment that anchors the first of its four beats. It gives a point-in-time snapshot. The FinHealth Record™ tracks how that snapshot changes as prescriptions, uptake, and outcomes unfold over time.
A score without a benchmark is a number. Reading an institution's scores against the national Financial Health Pulse® distribution is what turns the measurement into a finding an executive can act on. An internal average alone cannot say whether the institution is doing well.
The FinHealth Score® is a planning and guidance tool for next steps. It is not a decisioning or underwriting tool, and it can't be used to underwrite any access to credit, including earned wage access eligibility.
If you want to use the FinHealth Score® in a product, platform, or program, or measure it across your members or customers over time, book a call with Attune.
Roughly fortnightly. Writing on financial health infrastructure, the FinHealth Workflow™, and what we're learning building it.
